Squishyland

My small group asks for Squishy Land every time they walk into my resource room. It is a favourite and easy to differentiate when students are ready to move on to a new skill while others need more practice. I love how excited they get to learn through play!

This hits all the skips we cover in the dyslexia program. I can’t wait to get the 3rd-5th cards.

I am a K-2 resource teacher and this game has been popular with all three grade levels. I have been giving each student a deck of cards unique to his/her specific needs so they can play at the same time, but with their own skills. I can't wait for my preordered expansion pack to arrive. :)

This game is a great bang for your buck because you can cater it to so many different learning goals. It's great that you play the game the same way and just switch out the cards for different groups. Fantastic for having parent volunteers play with groups of kids. And most importantly, the kids LOVE it!

I love this new game. I am an interventionist K-3 and one day a week I get out academic games. This one was a hit! After some students have picked the "pink" cards, I take the used deck and add it to the current deck. This gives more students opportunities to move forward (or back - eek). The skills are great. I love the variety. I haven't received the new Expansion pack yet, so I am eager to try that with my 3rd graders when it is shipped. My students know that it is ok to get something wrong, if they don't get the answer, the next student gets a try. Then I explain how he/she came up with the correct answer. I would play it every day, except I have a curriculum that I have to follow. My students now look forward to Mondays because they know they get to learn through "play".
